At Kidisthenics, we integrate short bursts of purposeful movement throughout each session, tailored to the individual's unique needs. These movements can appear during a warm-up, within a sport-based drill, or in moments when a client needs support with regulation. By embedding intentional movement in real time, we create opportunities to strengthen foundational neurological patterns that support coordination, balance, and overall body awareness.
One of these foundational systems is the righting reflex. Righting reflexes are automatic, postural responses that help the body maintain proper head and trunk alignment in relation to gravity and movement. They allow us to stay upright, reorient ourselves when shifting positions, and maintain balance during dynamic activity.
