(PLNU Viewpoint) Kidisthenics: Fostering Movement and Agency for People with Developmental Disabilities

Kidisthenics is a local company that runs movement training sessions for people with developmental disabilities. Their PLNU alumni staff have helped grow the company and invest in people’s well-being and lives. Noah Roggin started as a client participating in weekly Kidisthenics movement sessions. He’d work with PLNU psychology alum Anthony Thomé (24), Kidisthenic movement specialist manager, diving deep into conversation and also focusing on the activities they would do together. Sometimes, there would be fun outings like kayaking or basketball. Saturdays, he’d join other participants in a group class.


And it’s not just Thomé making an impact on clients and the company; Kidisthenics has brought on three full-time staff members who are PLNU alumni, plus three movement specialists. The company has created opportunities for current PLNU students to help support their vision and mission.
